Some of their greatest strengths include being incredibly enthusiastic, sociable, and animated people. ![]() ENFPs can sometimes bring an energy into a situation that throws them into the spotlight, and they would choose freedom and creativity over stability and security any day. ENFPs are said to be the “Campaigners.” They are charming, passionate, and energetic individuals who thrive in social settings. Aside from these two characteristics, Andy clearly embodies every other attribute of the ENFP. This week has proved challenging because although Andy is definitely an ENFP, there are two characteristics I cannot get past that just don’t match up with him- he does not relax easily and he isn’t the most popular in the office, both of these are common traits of this personality. Now that we have a little background on Andy, let’s discuss the reasons for him being an ENFP (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting). He is well known for struggling with anger management, which I will come back to later on. ![]() Some of Andy’s hobbies include mentioning his attendance of his alma mater, Cornell, singing acapella, playing guitar, sailing, and having gone to Cornell, he also enjoys bringing that up in conversations when unprompted. He does not officially join the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch until Episode 9. Andy Bernard, also known as Nard-Dog, Ace, Buzz, and Puke (all self-given nicknames) joins The Office in Season 3, Episode 1: “Gay Witch Hunt,” as one of Jim’s coworkers in Stanford. ![]()
